World Heritage site Lumbini

Description of the CDT initiative:
Lumbinī is a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the Rupandehi District of Province No. 5 in Nepal. It is 20 Km from the Gautam Buddha airport, Siddhartha Nagar and 27 km. from the Indian Border, Sunauli. Lumbini, apart from its spiritual and religious significance, also fascinates a large number of naturalists, botanists and zoologists. Visitors can see a wide variety of sub-tropical shrubs, herbs, flowers and plants, which serve as a habitat for hundreds of birds and animal species.
Luxurious European & Japanese hotel is facilitated for tourist and pilgrims in lumbini. There are budget class hotel and guest houses in all foreign and Nepali monasteries.Best and luxurious hotel also in gate way city of lumbini (bhairahawa) which is 22 km east of birth place.

What problem they are trying to solve? What have they accomplished?
Tourism is a very familiar affair in human life. It has been an industry of vast dimensions and ultimately supports economic growth and social development. In order to promote tourism in Nepal.
Tourists are the key actors in the sense that they move and travel from their original location while the society and destination remain where they are.
Obviously the tourists are dynamic actors whereas society and destinations are static within the domain of the tourism activity in the place.
Preservation of the historical and religious site which is conservation for future generation.
It aims to provide job opportunity for the local community.
